OUR STORY
There are more good classic pickup trucks listed online than ever before.
Folks are restoring them right, taking care of originals, and keeping work trucks working.
The trucks aren’t the problem.
Getting them seen is.

With everything else flying by online, even a solid pickup can show up once and be gone before anyone really notices. One post, one listing, and it slips past. We thought those trucks deserved a fair shake.
Truck Rodeo started simple. Share the ones that earn it. Good photos. Clear details. Real owners. Honest stories.

Our first post came after the 100 Squarebody Auction in Grand Island, Nebraska, in 2022.
A whole lot of GM trucks in one place, all different, all worth a look. It felt right to pass them along.
People paid attention. They shared trucks, tagged friends, and told stories of their own.
It grew the natural way, one truck at a time.

Today, Truck Rodeo is the largest pickup-truck community only on Instagram. Not because we list everything, but because the folks here slow down and look.
That attention helps the right trucks find the right people, whether they’re listed here or somewhere else. That way of doing things comes from experience.

I grew up in New London, Missouri, where trucks weren’t talked about much—they were just familar, reliable, whiskey-dented tools to keep life and farms moving.
Later on, I worked in advertising and brand marketing with companies like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Marlboro, and in the legal cannabis industry. I learned how brands and brand attention works, and how quickly things feel wrong when they’re pushed too hard.

Through all of it, I kept buying old pickups—usually something affordable to drive for the summer—parking them out front of the Matchbox bar in Chicago, showing them to the old-timers, and listening to their stories about where those trucks had been and what they’d done. When summer was over, I’d sell it and move on.
Over time, truck culture got bigger, louder, and more expensive. Some of it was great. Some of it missed the point.
TRUCK RODEO is our way of staying focused. We’re here to help good trucks get seen, keep things clear and honest, and let the community decide what belongs.
If you care about true, classic pickups, you’re in the right place.
Thanks for being here.
Welcome to Truck Rodeo.
