Derek’s 1983 GMC Shop Truck Sells No Reserve at Mecum Indy
May 10, 2025 - The real-deal rig from Vice Grip Garage is headed to Mecum Indy — and she’s selling no reserve this Saturday.
This 1983 GMC K10 has been Derek Bieri’s go-to shop truck for years, racking up screen time, wrench time, and road miles along the way. It’s not some dressed-up flipper. This one’s lived the life.
Under the hood? A JEGS 350ci V8 crate motor with just 10,000 miles. TH350 auto. Holley Sniper EFI. Holley ignition. Long tube headers. Custom exhaust. Fry’s 3.52 gears out back with rear posi. All buttoned up, dialed in, and ready for work or play.
It’s sitting proper on 35x12.5x15 Super Swampers wrapped around slotted mags. Factory dash. Cruise control still in place.

The kind of truck that doesn’t just look like a shop rig — it is one.
If you’ve followed Derek for any stretch, you’ve probably seen this K10 rip, haul, idle, and idle again.
Now it’s headed to the auction block with zero reserve and one hell of a track record.
